Currently owned: '98 Ink Black 20VT Previously: Alfa 147 1.6 T-Spark Mk2 Punto Sporting - Sprint Blue Seicento Sporting Abarth (just a package kit in the early '00) Cinquecento Sporting - Red In the household and driven: Mk2 Punto HLX Maera 100TD Seicento SX Tempra 1.9D Loved my Cinq and only realised a couple of miles after getting the 20VT the Cinq Sporting's gearnob is the same as the 20VT 5 speed, as the Sei Sporting's is the same as the 20VT (6) Raiders of the parts bin

@pag firstly, good to see your still here I pop in now and then. Brera is nice i must admit. i like it a lot. I'm not as possessive about it as I was the coop but i think that's because I was so pissed off when the coop was pranged. I used to love the coop. Hand wash it. Polish it. Buy into group gliptone deals and do the seats religiously etc. Cleaned the engine, painted the rocker cover I haven't touched the Brera. i have only opened the bonnet once in three years (honest that's true) and that was a week or so after buying it to show my mate the engine! And it's only beed cleaned by the Eastern European car wash guys! (in fairness though I have been spending a lot more time on photography with little spare time for car cleaning) Looks wise it's gorgeous & the drivers seat is a really nice place to be. It's refined, quiet & very comfortable but although it's quite quick it's no match for a 20VT. Fuel consumption is about the same but handling is another league. It would leave a coop on the twisty's in fact you can induce some understeer but to make it slide you have to be going some. Brakes are much better too and ABS kicks in under much lesser conditions than the coop. (not that I drive it hard lol) In true Italian fashion it has some peculiar problems. Mine has the rare but documented wet seat belt problem! Proper PITA. Water gets into the seat belt well making the whole belt wet. I currently have a clothes peg on the belt to stop it retracting & the rear seats are better thought of as an extra parcel shelf. Could thoroughly recommend it though it's fab

well it started out with a ; Fiat Bravo 1.6 16v - Great car i put 17k miles on it in a year, never missed a beat. Alfa 156 2.4 JTD 140 - Grown up and got myself a diesel, didnt have this too long when the mot was coming up and i knew it wasnt going to pass. Alfa 156 2.4 JTD 150 - Another Alfa diesel, had a nice FMIC on it, sounded good too, i had this for about a year then some woman kindly ran into the side of it. Alfa 156 20v JTD - never will i buy a car in the dark - in london aswell ;), i had it for about 3 weeks then got rid because it had too much wrong with it. Alfa 156 2.4 JTD 150 #2 - This was a nice one, a late Phase 1 on an 03 plate, only got rid of it cause i was eyeing up my brothers 20v non turbo coupe. Fiat Coupe 20v NA - As i said i got this as my replacement for the alfa and as petrol was coming down, i felt it wasnt going to be that bad on fuel.(32/33mpg) - every time. Fiat Coupe 20vt - currently i have my broomy at the mo, which has had some nice things done to it, also a forum car, tbh i cant think of anything else to replace it with, so i think ill keep it till it dies.
Signature to large. 300 x 100 max

My type of thread.
Apart from the Coupes I've only had the one Fiat - a Sei Sporting.
But I love my Lancias and still get narked when I hear people say you're not a proper petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa, clearly forgetting about the Lancias of the 80s and 90s.
I've had a Delta 1.5 LX, three HF Turbos, an 8v Integrale and an Evo.
Wife's had a Y10 Fila, Cinq Sporting and Barchetta.
You could say we've got previous :-)

I've not actually owned many cars in general, which is shocking considering my mid-30s age status lol Learned to drive in a '93 Uno 45 'Fire' with the truly awesome plaid seat trim. Was blast but drove it...erm...like a teenager who had just passed their test So, the list... 1) Poverty spec 1242cc 8v mk 2 Punto - not a ball of fire, blew a head gasket, started me off in finance. Not great. 2) Slightly more than poverty spec 1242cc 16v Stilo - not quite poverty spec and the extra 8 valves made a difference. Seriously underrated car and drove incredibly well after a bit of tuning. 3) (and current) 20v NA non-VIS Coupe - temp car that's lasted nearly 2 years. Love that engine, doesn't brake or handle anywhere near as well as the Stilo but I can actually overtake things. Pondering if it'll be my last Fiat...
