Hi folks,

My first post on here in around 5 years. Used to have a 20VT in Winner Red but currently on my second Alfa GT. I have recently been considering getting another coupe while they are still crazy cheap. The Alfa is lovely but it's losing over a grand a year in depreciation - I think I'd rather put that towards cossetting a standard 20VT which can only go up in value. I only do around 7000 miles a year mainly short journeys so I think a coupe could cope with that.
Great to see so many familiar names still on here and I'll be sure to let you know if and when I get another coupe.

Alan (montydog)

Hi Alan, been a long time =( , coops are cheap because a lot have shed-loads loads of rust now, usually behind the scenes which gets discovered after buying. A good coop is £3500+ with real nice examples being 5000+(ie your old wine red, I think it got sold to a chap from Ireland who came over special!)

If you want to buy, Country Cruising and Nigel from Motor mech usually can recommend something.

If you want any advice Pm me.

Tom.

I am not sure a good Coupe needs to be £3500+ you just need to be careful what you buy wink

Hopefully they will appreciate in value to those figures and beyond soon though.

A good coupe (turbo) should be above 3.5k, but a good car isn't always priced that high.
It's really important to buy with your head, even more so than before as lots of cars have been owned by people who can't always afford to maintain them!
