Me and the wife are cooking for each other on Saturday. She's doing starter and dessert, I'm doing the main course.
We've just moved house and our oven is *terrible*. What can I cook that just uses four hob rings? (I also have a steamer, if that helps).
Suggest away.

Ali, what does Mrs H like?
What sort of meals? Light, hearty, meat, fish, summery, Mediterranean, spicy etc etc
What would she order in a restaurant?

Pork chops or pork belly, creamed cabbage, bacon lardons served with mash potatoes and any other veg of your choice.
A very easy dish and very very tasty.
Check BBC food for full recipe

Something different and Indian - Google Simon Hopkinson's tomato curry - replace the large tomatoes with cherry tomatoes (and don't peel or prepare, just bung in whole - makes life easier). Curry leaves make a difference if you can get them.
It's red so Valentines'ish, and tomatoes are also known as love apples.
Raita of mint (sauce) sugar and yoghurt (maybe a bit of turmeric for colour). Quarter or two of lime on the side.
