Not sure what the fuss is all about, I don't find the rear end of the Spider behaves any differently to the Coupe. However I do find big differences to the front end response between the 2L spider vs 16vt coupe, the spider feels a lot more responsive as compare to the 16vt, both are just as sure footing but the spider just feels more lively. Both rear ends stick to the road just as well.

That C*ck on the alfa forum obvious had never driven a Coupe before and didn't know which day of the week it was!

Btw, I know some 20vt boys are going to burn me alive .... but I have never driven a 20vt in real anger before, just some moderate drive, so I can't say how much the differences between 20vt vs 16vt vs spider suspensions behaviour.

Damn right us Irish Alfa heads are alright and sound.

Im from Dublin and and spend alot of time down in Rathnew with the car.

Im a car/bike nut/freak and will chat all day long to anyone who will listen.Dont diss all us Alfa drivers/owners.Some of us are good craic and nutcases too,like me,with regards to my my 147 turbo.

Im also quite courteaous/polite to other drivers(especially modified cars). Wave and a flash of the lights if I like another car or recognize someone.Also to let people know of a sneaky/hidden garda speed trap down the road.

Added my 2p on there as I surprisingly still have a logon on there. Probably shouldn't have done but IMHO you can't say on one hand the GTV rear handles better and then on the other hand say you need to modify it.

Rikki - it's fair enough what you're saying - the 2.0 GTV /spider lump weighs less than the 16VT lump which is why the spider is more responsive at the front. Although the 20VT engine weighs less than the 16VT engine it still weighs more than the 2.0 Spider engine.

i hate alfa drivers!! they think that they have the fastest cars all over the world!! i have beaten Alfa's GTV on a track race here and i was completely STD...

anyway. let them say what they want they own an alfa anyway, so they have to say that..

Cool it man! I have plenty of Alfa friends, and trust me most of them are alright people! They have passion to their respective Alfas just like we are towards the Fiat Coupe.
