Ideally you need to be fitting an OE manifold gasket for the 16vt as its design has an inbuilt heat sheild that protects heat soak to the head/exhaust cam, after market don't have this so it's worth considering for the next replacement.

Mmm I wonder how many still have the heat shield gasket on there coupes.

What happens when people run tubular manifolds then with the heat ?.

I do. If it helps you I have a spare that was on the old engine for about 4000 miles. I could bring it to Brooklands in a couple of weeks time if you have no joy.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

If you keep blowing gaskets it's most likely you have a warped manifold. An aftermarket gasket may not have the heat shield but it should still seal. FWIW I still have the original manifold gasket which I expect is the original one. I've seen engine fires due to aftermarket manifolds. The heat emitted should not be under estimated.

90 Euro isn't a bad price, I paid £65 back in the day when I had a 16vt!

But......... I never got round to fitting it, it's still sealed in it's original packaging wink

This is how it should have come out of Torino!

Get the hard pipe off from the bulkhead and get a braided pipe made up from the bulkhead to the cylinder.

Did that on my 16 and it made the clutch nice and light; I suspect because of a less restrictive flow through a wider pipe. Though the clutch was replaced anyway when the engine was put back together which usually makes a difference too.
