Stopped off for lunch at The Bolney Stage today. Owner remembered me from a few weeks ago as part of the Southern Area Spring Meet and Lunch.

After a chat about cars he then invited the club to attend their Classic Car Day, July 26th. It starts at midday but cars start to arrive from 10.30

No need to register, just turn-up.

I'll be there if anyone wants to pop along.

Pondman you was following us down the a24 kingsford on the way back from brooklands we were in the Attol blue Alfa 155...............coupe had no mot plus I was halfway through replacing turbo

Our Aussie guests are coming a week later so we're now back on for this!! Do I need to ring the pub or are you still to ring them and just add Jean and I to the list? If it's me to do something that's fine, just let me know.

Not sure if I am going to be able to make it just yet so a maybe at the moment

They got it completely wrong last Sunday- let's hope their incompetance prevails!
Regardless, I'm looking forward to it. Oh! and lively debate over W&W and Brooklands inability to organise even the simplest thing, unless you want all your 1920's Bentley friends (bought from new- one owner!) and their Ferrari owning greatgrandsons! to be there and 'riffraff' to an absolute minimum!

Let's hope they do get it wrong.

Organizer just contacted me to say their Classic Car Day is now cancelled due to the weather forecast.

They will contact me once alternative date has been picked.

That's a shame John, but the weather forecast is a bit grim if it is anything like we've had here today.
