I'm taking the Coupe to LeMans in June - I'm guessing I'll need beam deflectors to be legal - anyone got any recommendations?

I don't see how you could get them to work on the coupe lights given their profile, I just use the levelling adjustment to lower the beams. If there is a solution I would like to know also ?

Nismo - I spotted those on eBay and wondered if they would work on the coupe - have you tried them?

Every time my dad's drove over to Italy in the coop, he's always just gone with the halfords ones, I'll have to ask him how good they actually work, but he's never had a problem. I guess the main thing is, that you have them fitted regardless.

Just adjust them a bit lower. That will do the trick. We have a lot of people here that have their light beam too high anyway. Or.... Buy a european set of headlights ,:))

Tbh, I doubt if I will be driving at night, but I don't fancy being pulled on a minor legal technicality

If would go along with F1ANG's comment just stick some on regardless if they work or not! At least you are attempting to comply with the law!
When I stick them on the mondeo im sure they make no difference, also seen people using duck tape at the crossing suppose it must work the same but with less light!

Most of the modern car lights dazzle you even with the correct beam profile so i think unless you've just burned the retinas off the local bobby then you probably wont get stopped, especially with the oil lamps for headlights the coupe uses.

But as said above, puttin the tape on the headlights at the least looks like youve made an effort.

I've used the Halfords ones on mine, they work fine and I'm sure the Eurolites ones Nismo has linked to will work too. The only issue is that they make the already bad lights on the Coupe even worse! I do always use them as my principle is that if I did get stopped I don't want the Gendarmes to have anything they could complain about and fine me for.

I use the Halfords type. Separate the circle part from the complete deflector, its perforated so comes apart easy.

I once had a puncture bang on midnight on the motorway in France. While I was stopped, a police car pulled up to see what the problem was, then proceeded to check if I had the obligatory breath test kit, I was wearing my high-vis, and yes, the beam deflectors. Bloody jobsworth!!

For what they cost they won't break the bank, and it'll keep you on the right side of the law. My HIDs would definitely annoy oncoming vehicles, especially on narrower roads, and I wouldn't want to be blinded by them!

This is how it should have come out of Torino!
