Right, So from the off I was under the impression this coupe was chipped old school style, The previous owner of 7 years had never touched the ecu, & told me its a standard car to his knowledge,

When I picked it up, I knew straight away it was chipped with something, it behaves nothing like a standard car, aggressive & typical chipped ecu TORQUE steer.

I had a play with an FC tuned 20vt and the cars are dead even.....

So, my point is that after changing my supposed faulty Boost gauge for another, (tims) it appears my car is ACTUALLY running standard boos! 0.6bar, 1.0bar spike.

Would the following mods make it a stage 1 mapped coupe rival???

Stage 1 hybrid
Cat back Scorpian system
Performance plugs
K&N cone filter.

Im thinking No!, but inside my ecu lays a standard Bosch chip!

or more accurately, inside your Coupe's ECU is a chip with a standard Bosch sticker on it.....

Most Leighton-mapped standard cars are going to be around the 250-275bhp mark, so yours must be more modded than you thought

The only item on your list that could make any difference is the hybrid turbo - do you know the spec?

I have had a few standard 20vts make 230-240bhp on the dyno, and they feel noticeably quicker. Most make around 215-225bhp.

Chrissy I assume you were with Jon's Coupe on the Welsh meet? I tuned his car to normal 95 unleaded, so would estimate 240-245bhp peak power, but with some nice mid-range torque.
