That is quite some project, not sure to my taste, but impressive What material are you using to close the gaps as the stick moves around? Seats came up nice in blue

Seats came up nice in blue I've used a sheet of black felt that is flexible to hide the linkages but stays in place when changing gears. Good work and good to see. Did you mill the finished one? The final brushed stainless steel plate is lazer cut from 5mm stainless steel then a fine gritt wet and dry and a final polish. I take my hat off to anyone taking a project like this on, Does it shift through the gears slower than stock? Moves through the gears surprisingly easy from any gear 5th to 2nd etc , will probably still need to get used to it though as with any of these types of set ups.

Hello Patrickstar, can you reproduce the gear stick and the selector, or will be remain a secret?

Hi I have the drawings at a company so reproduction is no problem and i have gear sticks made. Only problem is if you get the threading wrong it may knock it all out of the plate measurements it really needs to be bespoke. But it is possible. didn't want to start a group buy because it's not straight forward and chopping of your gearshift is pretty much too late after.

It cost me £30 for the drawings from the lazer company, I had two mild steel plates cut by them for alterations purposes at £15 each and the brushed stainless steel final plate at £25. The chrome gear knob was around £25 and the gearstick was a chrome bathroom type table think it was £20 and it gives me 5 sticks in total. the gear plate surround was £15 then there were tap and die set and other bits jigsaws , routers etc.

Not bad if you amortised it over several..I might be interested if you do decide to do a group buy.

What is the difference between the first and the second version of the selector? Why did you make two version? The secondo one seems to be more "tight".
Doese the first one work well as the second?
