Hi all, seen this basic chip on ebay for £7.50. surely this can not work? has anyone actually tried one of these and if so what was it like?

Get a gtec 1 chip from GrahamL on the forum if you want a chip and don't waist your money on the other chip .

yeah thought so, cheers guys. is it best putting it on the rolling road first and getting it all synced first or just put the chip straight in?

Put the chip in then stick it on the rollers and get the fueling checked .

I think it's always wise to make sure your car is running as it should before you start down the tuning path.

It's also interesting to see the before and after results.

You could do a chip change in a few minutes if you remove the nuts holding the ECU in place prior to going, so could do it at the same rolling road booking.
