Whilst I have been (relatively) happy with the Koni Sports on the front they are getting a little tired and the fit into the cut down Borge struts is now sloppy so that there is a noticeable clunk when setting off or breaking.

So I have been looking for alternatives and would have gone for Bilstein B6, except they don't seem to make them anymore!
I am looking to use them (or whatever else I can find) with Eibach Prokit springs and this has been pretty standard uprated fayre for the last 10 years! But what now?

Osrav - durable and decent quality

Do a search - plenty of discussion about them on FCCUK

Not cheap though, and not easy to get hold of - there's only a single UK importer - Zagato Lancia

I can give you two contacts who can supply OSRAV shocks one from France and one from Germany. Waiting time is 5-6 weeks. Both of them were cheaper than Zagato. Just send me a Pm if interested.

Otherwise, just to give you and idea, I am running Eibach pro kit (front springs are from 16VT, about 10mm higher and progressive) with new Monroe (front) and KYB gas-a-just (rear), along with new top mounts, bearings and spring seats the ride is really good, not bouncy at all like it was with the Bilsteins B6, controllable and enjoyable. That said, it is sporty and the car feels quite well planted on the road:) Not sure how this setup will behave on a track though but thus far I really like it and I can go over speed bumps without loosing any fillings from my teeth tongue

You can cut the lower coil off the 16vt eibach springs, it makes no difference at all to the way the spring operates as the bottom 3 coils are always coilbound on the car.
What it does do is lower the car by the thickness of one coil which is 10mm.

True, but I don't want to drop the front too low. Well, at least for now wink
