Has anyone found a solution to the pink rear lights syndrome? In the how to guide for LED lights, Begbie says to be gentle when cleaning the inside out. Does that mean you can remove all of the inside colouring? Anyone given it a go?

I want to get LEDs into the back, but I don't want the LEDs to look pink!

Thanks

Unfortunately the colouring Is throughout the lens and cannot be removed, there are limited options modifying coupe rear lights. I don't know what works best white or red led behind a red lens.

I interchange my standard set with a set of hella style led as a variation

Thanks for the replies. Will try the re LEDs. Also about to purchase a spare set of rear lights; lets see when they arrive!

Replace the standard bulbs with Cree led ones, I have done all mine, indicators, reverse, fog and stop tail. Much brighter, better colour and last longer. Indicators will need in line resistors though.

When using led indicator lamps the applied resistor for the indicator needs to sit across the +ve and -ve of the indicator lead to simulate the low resistance of the removed filament lamp so as to make the indicator flasher unit work correctly
