Well that's me out of the coupe field for the time being.

Went out and got a bmw 330CI and I hate to admit it but I do like how civil it is and well mannered it drives.
Compared to the coupe , that's the delinquent youth and the BM is the nerdy brother.
Just don't have the heart to sell the delinquent youth cry cry

BMWs are very nice. It doesn't matter which engine or spec you go for (though the 3 litre straight six is a favourite) they always feel very good. The weight of the pedals, the balance of the car, the quality... the way the car doesn't creak and rattle like a Coupe...

But eventually you'll miss the way the rain doesn't soak your trousers when opening window, the potential devastating rust, how rubbish the handbrake is, and above all... you'll miss the way a coupe makes you feel, something no BMW can do (excepting an original M5 perhaps). To be honest you've got it right - have both.

I agree, keep the coupe too if you can.

I've got the 20vt and an E36 M3, both very different to each other, but great fun to drive in different situations.

We've just bought a 330d cant agree with you more. Best car I've owned. But the Coupe is the most addictive, gets under your skin. Like a good woman, can't live with a coupe can't live without
