As wise old dolphin said before the world was blown up!
And that's how it will feel when I finally see "my beloved" drive off down the road with it's next caring owner. That's right, I'm selling up and moving on. I'll also be selling the Subaru too to move onto a "Super Saloon".

I have had many happy hours on here, way past my bedtime wink And will not be a stranger - I'll be back, not in a Coupe but something else that I can hopefully not throw so much money at!

Those people who know me, have known I've had itchy feet for a while now and have finally plucked up the courage to pass on mine and others hard work. PM me for further details if you're interested? Once you've seen the "For Sale" thread.

The other cars I'm interested in buying are, in no particular order:
Mercedes Benz SLS AMG 55
Alpina B5
Jaguar XKR
Maserati Quattroporte

All V8's - Why the hell not! With the price of fuel being so low at the moment, it's about the best time to dabble my toes in a bit of old school muscle.

I need proper space for 4 people and 4 doors. This will also ensure I have only one car to drive and it will get driven!
The other problem I have is that our drive at home is long and narrow, so with the shrine click to enlarge at the back of the que, the Coupe never gets a look-in, as I have to move at least 2 cars and possibly a van to get the Coupe out! So the Subaru is usually the weapon of choice as it is an easier option wink

I am aware that the price it is listed at is a little rich for some......, But, I have weathered all the depreciation of this car have invested £1000's, will make an overall loss and the potential buyer will only gain from future appreciation in values. The prices are on the rise, so don't under sell your assets!

I'll not be off for a while yet, well not until I have rehomed "my beloved" anyway, so keep up the good work everybody and keep this forum ALIVE!

It really is a stunning example of a car, shame it only made it to spa once.
A Maserati certainly would be at home there. As you say why the hell not.

Good luck with the sale pal.

Adieu Ross, I reckon you will still turn up at the meets now and then in something Italian, get the Maserati!

Those pics of your car in the pit lane garage make me whinny!

Not a throw away comment but I hope you don't regret it, I am not sure I could get rid of my Coupe.

Ross anyone who has seen your car knows it's a very nice and #clean example.
Good luck with the sale. An enthusiast will have a great car.

Ah too bad Ross, that photo of her sitting listening to music perhaps or just watching a video while enjoying a G&T in her own living room will remain etched on my memory laugh

Good to meet you (and her) at Spa last year and hope you find just the right owner smile

Good luck with the sale, it's encouraging to see a high asking price for a well looked after coupe

Hi all,
As I speak "my beloved" is fast winging its way up to Glasgow. I hope the new owner has a garage wink otherwise she will be shivering compared to the cosseted existence she has had down south. I wish Jimmy all the best for the future and have fun with your new Coupe. He has owned a plus before. You see Plus owners, even you get turned eventually tongue
Simon (Edinburgh) you will be seeing it at a meet near you soon I'm sure. Keep and eye on her for me will you?
Thanks for all your goodwill and help over the 10years of ownership of 1 Coupe. Time to let go, move on and let someone else have the joy.

Best wishes to all, regards, Ross. smile

Reading this, first I hoped it would go to a good home.

Then I saw Glasgow chinny

Then Jimmy..... confused

Then "He has owned a plus before" shocked ......Is this the guy (and his Lady) who owned Duffy's Plus a few years back?

Joe, nothing as yet, I've still got the Subaru Forester 2.5XT super wagon. wink
Simon, it is quite possible that he is the same guy. He has an Alfa 147 GTA which my Coupe is replacing. He recounted a story of you heating up a curry on your ehaust manifold at a meet you both went to laugh

An hour next to the block in the foil tray and it was well heated through/delicious laugh

The evidence... laugh

Jimmy and Rita like their Italians ok, she's got an Abarth 500.

Let's see how long he keeps his coupe this time.....

Good idea to poppadom the engine.

Anyway, good/bad day to see it drive away I guess. Hope you got the asking price or very close. Hopefully it will be kept in the great condition you made it.

Yes it was mixed emotions all round, even the wife had a tear in her eye! shocked
I never expected that confused
I did get to do all of the test drive though, which was nice to drive her for one last time. I suppose Jimmy thought, he'd get plenty of time to equaint himself with her all the way up to Scotland driving
My one passing gift to you guys and gals is to help push up the price of these mega underrated cars. I love them and always will. But there is life after a Coupe I'm sure chinny
