Hello,
After wanting one for such a long time, i finally got me a Coupe It's a Scots Green 20vt. A few mods (chip, fastflow cat, fuel pump wiring, air filter, back box). I have already an up-rated turbo cartridge (stage 2 hybrid??) and bigger injectors in ported manifold queued up to fit, but first I'm sorting out the paintwork and tidying up the inside.
I have already found out loads of good stuff on here and I have loads of questions but.....
I live in the Black Country/Birmingham area and I don't see hardly any Coupe's. Anyone on here from my neck of the woods?

Welcome Simon wave

There's a few Coupé owners in your neck of the woods.

Don't forget mapping after you've fitted your mods, we don't want any posts reading 'my car runs rough' due to cracked pistons sick

Thanks for the welcomes, much appreciated.
Regarding the re-map - looking at the posts on here it seems there is a chap in Bristol I need to see, but out of interest, what's with the cracked pistons? Would it be running too hot?

Yes I'd go and see Flea in Bristol for the live remap, you can get hold of him on here via pm or his website.

I'm over near Solihull (Dorridge), so not far from you. I work in Coventry and saw quite a few coupes about over the summer. But I agree, they are few and far between!

Good to see some people in the area.
Coupedummy - I do go to Tipton a fair bit, have some relatives by the pie factory - I'll keep an eye out.
As for pictures - it's not very pretty at the moment. When I bought it it had a lime green wrap with gt stripe on it. Not for me - maybe 20 yrs ago! I've taken the wrap off and revealed a load of primer and filler. The good thing being all the dents and dinks have already been filled, the bad thing being the wrap covered all the minor scratches, etc. Generally in good condition though.
I'm in the process of painting it myself (purely because it's cheaper). Got the paint from Jawells in brum. Done the boot first as a trial and it's turned out not bad - there will be a lot of flatening and polishing but can't wait till it's done. The Scotts green colour looks great when it's fresh.
May be I can post some before during after pics.
I have no idea how to post a pic - do I need a photobucket account?

Gavlar is the person to speak to for diy paint. Done his own Scott's which looks pretty decent in the flesh. My brother has done is to OK effect and another one not a million miles away in Rubery.

You won't really see my two locally much as weekend motor and don't live at the house in Tipton. You will proberbly see them around when the weathers good..

The sticky post at the top of this forum shows you how Simon.
