The better half was getting her weekly fix of Downton last night and stupidly happened to be in the sitting room at the time.
Some stiff collared gentleman racers were allegedly racing at Brooklands so I looked up at the telly only to find that Lord March had kindly lent them Goodwood track for the day and they had dressed it up with 'period' trim. Then there was the inevitable fatal crash, a dash to the side of the course by the landed gentry, which turned out to be a tidied up section of Brooklands banking (underneath Test Hill?) and then back to Goodwood for more brow beating and sniffles! That fellow Fellowes really does takes the biscuit for implausibility!

She who must be obeyed tells me that the last (ever) episode is next week. Naturally I shall be distraught!

I thought the scenery looked inconsistent as also recognised the banked section in one shot and then wondered where on earth the ended up shooting it? I was in a similar zone of one eye on the telly and both ears on the five live F1 broadcast.
You will have to tell us how it ends up Chris smile

Being female, I watch Downton, although I'm sure there's a few males on here that watch it and won't admit it laugh tongue

They've mentioned racing at Brooklands over the last couple of weeks but I haven't watched last nights programme yet, so not reading any more of this thread until I do laugh

I knew there would be some sort of accident or fatality though, usually is, so at least that part of it hasn't been ruined for me by reading this thread laugh

It's part of my duty to watch this also T, and I can inform you that there is no last episode next week due to the entire cast expiring in the accident laugh
