Absolutely no idea. Anyone would think that poncey media types shop at Waitrose and it reminds them of their own twee, middle class festive celebrations.

Its not Christmas until you walk into a shop and hear Jona Louis' Stop the Cavalry.

That is actually a good barometer. The other "usual suspect" Christmas songs get played far more.

Clearly doing what they're paid for though; every bugger is talking about it.

Indeed. Going back to Enforcer's point about the BBC - why do they need to promote it further still?

In a similar vein, I think the over-exposure of Salford City FC on the BBC has now gone beyond a joke. Notts County were on a hiding to nothing last night and the brown-nosing by the pundits and reporters afterwards was embarrassing.

These days it's not actually Christmas until the first Cadbury's Creme Egg ad is out. The advancing of the calendar for marketing promotions is utterly out of hand, you can't now buy winter clothes in the winter, you have to buy them in the summer, when you don't need them rant rant rant mutter mutter mutter ....

Yes, it has to said that Christmas blues befits you even more than the rest of us, Azzura tongue

Incidentally, seeing as June is about as far away from December as possible what are the chances of you coming out to play with the rest of us for a day or so over the w/end of the 17th/18th/19th?

Ah, pity, then a Speyside pavement banner emblazoned with " Oop Coops" would suffice smile

Christmas season should not start until December!!!!!!

By the time Christmas is upon us im sick to death of all the hype, songs, high expectations, wife spending far too much money on everything and everyone etc..

Even saw a lorry load of Christmas trees on monday already chopped down for the shops, no wonder they dont last till Christmas!

and please stop releasing Sh*te songs for Christmas mr Cowel

Really want to spend christmas in the north of sweden one year! proper snow, no internet just lots of alcohol, family and friends in a log cabin with the Reindeers running around outside! who needs presents!

That would be nice!

Sounds perfect, I'll come with you laugh

I agree with you about the Christmas season not starting until December!

I went to Argos earlier to pick up a present for my brothers birthday next month and had all the Christmas spiel, with them assuming it was a Christmas present ffs!

Anyone who's interested though, Argos currently have the Dolce Gusto Melody 3 coffee machine on offer for £37.99! cool laugh

No, it's 'you're'. Abbreviation of 'you are'.
