Recently had the clutch replaced on my Alfa, 150 miles later it started to slip now can't select reverse. Took into Alfa garage and they say clutch is on it's way out.

Spoke to the first garage and they want to check it out first, understandably. At this point I would rather get the Alfa garage sort out the clutch as this garage has an excellent reputation and get a full refund from garage one. Cock-up on my front for not going to Alfa first.

How do I stand on this; if the clutch needs to be replaced by Alfa due to the first garage's cock-up I'm I entitled to a full refund?

I suspect (though I'm no expert) that you need to give the original garage the opportunity to rectify it first. Good luck

I had the same years ago, gave the first garage chance to fix and then it went to motormech who replaced the clutch correctly. I then plonked there clutch on there desk and requested my refund which I got.

Never had this issue before regarding any replacements car parts, but if you're not happy with the part they used, even if it's fitted you should be able to get your money back.

Had to use the car Just now. To start with couldn't get the car in 1st or 2nd, had to start in gear. After 100m I was able to change gear, which isn't easy.

Still can't get reverse, lets hope I don't need to reverse before it's fixed.

At low speed as soon as you dip the clutch peddle car cuts out.

At this point I'm not happy with their work or parts used.
