Launched this week at the LA motorshow Godawful crass presentation, but fast forward to 2.40 and looks pretty promising. 505BHP, faster than a Audi R8, 911 etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn6Jb_MiIbYwhile germans make, italians create...

How to launch a new car - Only in America? Not sure I like the front - it seems heavy and lacking any innovation? Good Wheeler Dealer vid on the Alfasud afterwards!

I'm not totally convinced by the new 124 spider. I like the retro 124 bonnet and front and the interior but the rest of it is far too like its sister car the MX5. Better to judge in the flesh though I suppose. Does anyone know if its confirmed to be coming to these shores?

I quite like the Giulia, apart from the horrible mesh grille, but to me the Fiat 124 is ugly. The MX-5 looks far better.

Yes, as a current 124 Spider owner I'm disappointed with the way the new one has turned out. The sides look OK with the characteristic line that kicks up over the door handle, and the twin bonnet bulges are OK I suppose, but I'm not sold on the front lights and the rear also looks a bit fussy According to motortrader it is coming to the UK? And hopefully in RHD, which I guess is more likely considering it's MX-5 roots. So maybe it will grow on me over time...

I contacted Fiat UK and got a prompt email back: Further to your e-mail, we would like to inform you that the commercial launch in the UK is expected in the second half of 2016. In regards to the engines, specifications and prices this information is not yet available. We would like to invite you to visit the Fiat press website on http://www.fiatpress.co.uk/press/article/5482 you will be able to see pictures of the vehicle and information regarding the aspects of the vehicle. Alternatively, you can contact any of our Fiat authorised dealership closest to you and leave your name to be contacted once we have a launch date. From that high angle and in white the looks are indeed starting to grow on me I wonder if they'll do it in Maroon to match my old one (not a pic of mine, just borrowed)
