Looking forward to seeing this soon smile

When you fit the thermostat it's generally recommended to replace the temp sensor as well FWIW.

Pity you had to go to all that trouble with your rear wiper - it could have been something minor like the NRV ...

The JW Sensor that goes into the cylinder head ?

I thought it was the NRV below the front scuttle, but was not. Access on the underside was a PITA for the RWW motor, but glad I did, as the inlet to the unit was gummed up, proved the line when pushed water up and got a wet patch in the boot, but all works now. Gave me the opportunity to investigate my boot space, which all looks good and found my tool kit and jack and bulb kit under the spare wheel!

Green-top sensor that goes into the stat.

That saying, mine's a '96 model, not sure if it's the same as your later one....

What options are you thinking about for your centre console

Repaint some of black or go with same colour as the car

Or is there another option up your sleeve

Hi Alan.

I am in three different minds here. The interior in mine is original, but centre console and centre box section between seats a little sticky as well, worse still in this unusual hot weather in scotland. I have read many posts on how to, what colour, what finish.

I will be probably just remove the rubber sticky coating, neutralise the plastic and have painted satin black or plasticote in satin / gloss black as easier to clean like the gloss dash colour strip we have. Something i would like to do soon, other than getting my bodywork sorted which lets my coupe down to about 70% lacquer missing now, wife thinks some of my coupe is matt red and some shiny red, below the skin inc chassis is all done now.

Been a long time since updating this thread as been a busy bee trying to save up to do the bodywork as final stage to do. Taken me 3 years to save up and then decide on the body shop for a glass out respray, as I visited many in West and Central Scotland. Dunmuir Coachworks was decided on after their known work with many Lancia Delta Integrale’s and other exotic motors.

Basically taken aback to the bare metal by hydroblast, all glass out, doors off, boot lid off, bumpers off, bonnet off, rear arches fully done, many red coats and two clear coats. Now looks red compared to pink and lacquer peel look.

I'd love to see the result of this - congratulations on sticking at it thumb

Unfortunately as I'm not "on" FB I can't see them, any chance of posting a couple of pics on here?

Simon, just click on the photos tab then scroll down. Dunmuir’s FB page content can used by non FB users.

Ok, got it - looks fantastic! Are you bringing it to Hopetoun House on 29th?

Or Thirlestane on June 19th?

Cost was shade over £4k including a new windscreen and windscreen seal and able to wait 4 months due to the waiting list to have your car bodywork done, as Dunmuir is very popular across the modern and classic car community in west Scotland.

29th unlikely as maybe in happy or sulky mood from the CL final. 19th June I know I am on call that weekend.

There will be other opportunities I know, other than tearing me away from the latest Barchetta restoration.

Thanks for that. Price seems fairly reasonable in the grand scheme of things that you had done smile
