Well after 9 months of having a Fiat Coupe ornament sat outside of my house, I've finally sent her away to Joe for repair.

Joe recommends a flatbed driver, who knew what he was going when he turned up and had all the appropriate bit of kit to get a lowered Coupe onto his flat bed, with no fuss, totally the opposite experience I had of when it had to be recovered!

So Joe is going to diagnose the fault and then do a report on the overall condition of the car and over the next month get it running and a few of the needed items looked at.

Can't wait to get her back!

Good luck Gunzi! It does no harm to get these cars thoroughly checked over every once in while. In fact, I think it saves money in the long term and ensures reliability. Keep us posted mate!

Same guy picked up mine to go to Joe's last week. Very efficient and a nice guy, who knows about cars. Should be fitted with replacement engine by Joe this week, all being well. Can't wait to get it back. smile

Hope all goes well, Gunzi. Joe must be missing having a Wine Red coupe at his place, so it will restore the balance!

I do love driving in to FCSS - after months of seeing no coupes at all, you're suddenly faced with a dozen!

Well that didn't take long to resolve.

Drive restored to all gears, only tested in the yard but the issue was a broken selector, and with the aid of my 5mm camera and magnetic attachment I managed to fish out the debris as well.

Nothing else to report yet Chris as I've Pete's VT6 on the ramp having a replacement engine fitted, more to follow when I have news.
