I think mine is something like 000010 but is a 20vt which restarted the sequence, but can we refer to it as "build number" or something else since it's not the traditional chassis or "undercarriage" (autotelaio) number?

I think "boot body plate" describes it Dave, so have edited the post.

I can't recall where it is though?

Joe this is DaveG's boot plate, it's located on the boot floor, right side behind the cubbyhole cover in-line with the boot lock.

Joe mine is with you so if you have five mins and if it's not rusted off pop it up!

I guess most of us access ePer via the Fiat Forum, although that version is dated 2005 and many part numbers are superceded, useful nonetheless.

I came across a later version at Fiat Club Poland but can't seem to get very far without being chucked out

But also there is https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en from Latvia of all places where someone's taken all the parts diagrams and part number lists and made them perhaps a little easier to navigate, but only parts that are available are listed with part numbers and prices. You'll need to enter your full chassis number (17 digits, eg: ZFA175000000xxxxx) substituting a zero for the P in the middle.

That's an interesting link thanks darmtb.

Where it asks for the VIN number substitute an extra zero for the "P" or it doesn't work.

Mine was build on 2 June 1995. Previously I only knew the month and year.

Pete, you only beat me by half a week; mine's 6 June 95. And it still took them four months to get it to me... I may have to change the coupe's birthday!

Out of interest I looked at my Grande Punto's data.

It was built on 24th August 2007 and was delivered to me on 10 October.

I ordered it in June a couple of weeks after SpaItalia as at that time they were only building diesels for the UK to customers' orders.

My Coupe comes up as being finished on 7th October 1996 and was registered in the UK on 14th October 1996 a mere 7 days later
