Are camber bolts worth having ? Opinions please.

Cheers
Sean

Yes, they are really nice if you planning to go to the track. I usually set up mine at -2 degrees. A little less if you only run on the street.

I found camber bolts added to the enjoyment of driving the coupe.
The quicker turn-in you can dial in certainly adds to the fun !
But I would say they were near the end of the list of suspension/brake upgrades of ;
Good tyres
Upgraded discs and pads
Braces (upper and lower)
Quality dampers
Joes Springs
Camber bolts
Upgraded rear bushes.

Hope that helps.

Hey Freddan-

does -2 degrees mean the wheels are slightly closer together at the top, and slightly wider on the road?

leaning in at the top, in other words..?

Yes leaning in at the top.

My car came with Eibach so I changed dampers, rear arb (22mm), wishbones, droplinks and camber bolts in 2007. I don't think it is the last thing to do. If you go to track you really need more negative camber.

I bought the eibach ones, only then I realised my uprights were slotted, I had -1.5 dialled in, feels like it turns in a lot better IMHO

They make quite a difference giving the front end more grip and better turn in. Maybe only downside is that a consequence is that the rear becomes looser and more likely to oversteer, but only in extreme cornering. Definitely worth doing.

every day is a school day!

thanks for that

I've got another car that is showing wear on the inside of the front tyres and someone said- "that's correct- it's for cornering fast"

negative camber. cheers Freddan

so, in the standard setup, this isn't adjustable? What camber does the standard setup have?

Oh I forgot I'd got a 22mm rear ARB which I'd put between the springs and the camber bolts on my list.
