Decided to make a radical change to my Coupe. You know what a coupe needs is wood in the interior. It's so 2016 and so cool.

Only took me 1 month to do, I love the results...

Okay, so not really, not my car, but I thought I'd post the pics I came across in case people were wondering thumb

Strangely that looks ok to me - not that I'd want it myself, but it doesn't look totally out of place imo

Yeah, I think it makes the car look kinda old! It makes the interior look old, kinda like the affect wrinkles have on someones face smile

Horrid sick

The coloured dash strip is a key factor of the Pininfarina design, changing it so it looks wood just means you should be driving a Jaaaaagggggggggg, not a Coupé.

yes, I think Joe, might have nailed that there

no offence- I think it's a terrific bit of work- (a month?!!)

but it's not exactly in keeping with the core design ethos

I do love it though- even on the vents!

Aw come on, he would have used allen bolts at least! tongue

Tend to agree though about the design ethos, even if the finish is good quality. With the Coupe it's really the whole which Bangle has taken account of (says he with some slightly off-spec characteristics laugh )

The scent of Brut, Hamlets and strippers. String back driving gloves with a road atlas on seat. Cheeky angle of cap, wolf whistle for the dolly birds........well, that's enough about my day.

I take it that it's not real wood? Be justifiable if it was. Walnut or teakwood.

Maybe Scots Green an'teak.

Wood kits were available for the Coupe when new, they were in the Accessories brochure (maybe only Germany, they like that sort of thing), it may have been the same as this (for 16v/16vt)

1996 Portofino 20vt & 2000 Pearl White Plus
2008 Ferrari F430 & 2017 Fiat 124 Spider

It'll be the usual stick on plastic stuff:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DASH-TRIM-FIAT-COUPE-1994-96-RHD-/201546093138

only they've gone a bit further and made some for the dash and door strips as well.

Why wood anyone do that to a Coop? I suppose if you had tree Coops and one of them was a spare one, then it'd be ok. I wonder if he has made any modifications in the trunk?

Bud, we'll no doubt see branches popping up everywhere now the idea has been sown.

Poor sap that had it fitted must have first thought it looked oak.

Barking up the wrong tree with that design.

Really goes against the grain.

Someone really shouldn't marquet(ry) that kind of product.

It's just a thin veneer of an idea.

After a few weeks of having that in my coupe I imagine I wood pine for the old colour back. Your belief's wood have to be deeply rooted to start a project like that as I can't see in being very popular!
