I've got "3 hours" from FRB to Beauly...

Add 1 hour for coffee stop and linking with jimbob13 and mattB...

Realistically lunch at 1.30 if folk can wait that long?

Would you be ok with that Brian as you've got the longest haul?

Means FRB 0915 for 0930...

Edit.....there's definitely a voice missing here

shout Marko !!

We can come across the Pentland Firth on the 15 th stay the night in Inverness so can join the group from there on the morning of the 16th. Then onto Beauly and Poolewe if that's the agreed route. Just where and when to meet in Inverness? Good to see that brain cell is moving round quickly now boys tongue

Still waiting on MOT and service, my mechanic got stuck wrong side of the Firth by bad weather. He did send his tech to collect the car from off the Stronsay ferry, with instructions to take it to his home garage, too special to leave in the workshop. That's proper appreciation love

I'll probably meet you in Inverness first then...

Right chaps & chapesses, when you hit Inverness you want to head for the A862 hugging the Beauly firth, quite a pleasant scenic road. A good starter for your eyes.... driving

It's apparent from my last few posts I've lost touch somewhat.
suicide
Beauly lunch at 13:30 sounds just right, as does a muck-breakfast at the bridge.
Re a nothbound coffee stop, how about The House Of Bruar? Roughly halfway, pleasant and with a generous number of parking spaces.

Revised Google map: Highland Coup Day 1
Includes Jim's A862 suggestion and I'd really like to enter Poolewe via Dundonnell / A832 to see Little Loch Broom.

Already looking like a long first day for Rosso!

We might also be able to get Tesco Momentum in Dingwall just off the A862.

Tesco's Momentum is supposedly 99 RON, as is Shell Nitro +. They're the only fuels heartily recommended by the legendary Tweenie Rob who remapped my car.

Looks good Bern thumb

laugh at "muck-breafast"

So perhaps we could after all meet DG and Driley at that Inverness filling station ......

Jimboy, how do fuel prices in Beauly compare with Inverness, and is the Gulf premium 97 or 99, or higher?

Absolutely Simon, the Shell station would be a great meeting point. I noticed on street view it's right next to the Raigmore Motel which has parking spaces aplenty. cool

Thanks Jim, it sounds like any further out we'd be paying silly money for that sort of grade. I tend to put 97 in mine so I'd see what Inverness Shell that Barney suggests are offering in comparison.

Where's the smiley for 'tight-fisted' when you need it smile
