The Q4 figures have now been added to howmanyleft.com.

We've lost another 17 coupes in total in the quarter. Ten fewer 20V NAs. These seem to be dropping at the fastest rate in terms of the percentage of cars out there.

Interestingly we've gained two 20VTs.

There were 116 fewer coupes on the road in Q4 compared with Q3.

Q3 & Q4 refers to the quarter year.

I've been looking for a nice 20V NA for a few months now, they do seem to be getting quite thin on the ground.

Well I know one of those N/A's is my old one that got written off ..... And I have seen a few 'get rid of my project car' from the driveway adverts too. Maybe things are changing ... that never sold.

Trouble is that the rot and things going wrong is mounting up on them these days (or call it more neglect from owners - I don't know).

Regardless, there are loads of dodgy ones for sale recently (IMO) of course. If they don't sell, I suppose they have been getting scrapped?

Too many 3 - 12 month owners who rag'em, do not do any maintenance then off load them when a big bill is looming, then the cycle repeats itself, then its recycled in the scrapyard.

5 years time, will be the tell IMHO that most Coupes will be cherished and the falls in registrations / scrapped will level out.

I would expect (and hope) that in less that 5 years time, the increase in value of any coupe in any condition will have stopped any more being scrapped.

Just rolled mine out of the garage this week and it passed its mot first time after sitting for 8 years.
Will tax it shortly to add to the ranks.

Incidentally, there are only 50 16VT's left on the road, which means its rarer than tha 20v turbo plus and would be the rarest if not for the LE. I find this surprising. The NA 16V isn't far behind. Lampredi derived cars often show fantastic appreciation at some point, will it happen to the coupe???

The LE figures are understated as not all were registered as such on first registration with the DVLA.

It all depended how the dealership clerk filled in the form.

It means registered and not SORNed at the quarter. I suspect there will be a few SORNed over the winter, so the number might go up a little.

But according to that, there were 1380 coupes on the road...

"Registered and not SORNed" means taxed at the end of each quarter, ie potentially able to be used on the road legally.

How do you explain the ones registered in 2007?

Imports.

If you look at Fiat X1/9s you will see one registered in 2014, that is mine, an import from Ireland.

those figures are not a true reflection on the cars out there as a lot are either SORNED or not registered with DVLA as a 'PLUS' or 'LE' variant. those figures are only ones actually taxed and on the road each quarter.

27 LE's?? just take a look at the LE register on the forum to see that those figures are rubbish..............
