At the ripe young age of late 20's I have gone and hired a VW California Campervan for a week at the end of May.

Something that I have wanted to do for years but a lack of funds/time have stopped me.

Anyone have a recommendation for some nice sites around the Brecon beacons that accepts campervan's, small dogs, children and clueless parent?

Sounds brilliant! I'd have thought most campsites would meet your criteria, but you're right to check...

You won't go far wrong here:

http://www.pencelli-castle.com/

Lovely views, close to quaint village pub, and excellent toilet facilities.

We went there to try out our camper for the first time.

Oops they don't accept dogs....

The site at Llangorse lake take dogs though.

can recommend the caravan club sites - always clean and good value and not crammed in. Went to one in Gower a while back and it was good, but can't remember the name now. Their website has a good search facility though. Have fun. Wish I'd have started when I was in my 20s.
