So then, what's the correct sequence for fitting the Fiat roof bars, so that you don't have a nervous breakdown for fear of scratching the paint around the door frame or on the roof?

Also, have people generally used a clear vinyl film under the main feet to help protect the paint?

Ta,

Nick

I've used a blanket on the roof to protect it and then laid the bars on top, attach one side then the other. The main feet do scuff the lacquer so a protective film is a good idea, don't know where you'd get it from though, and whether it will sit flat enough on the curved roof?
