These Tatton Park shows are my favourite events, but due to it's popularity, I struggle to get us a Club stand there.

I've applied for an application form and will need to know asap who can attend, but please be aware that we may not get entry and I won't know until nearer the time if we've been allocated a space.

Anyone else interested in this? I'll be submitting our entry form in a couple of weeks, if more names go on the list.

If no more interest, then it won't be worth submitting the form as we definitely won't get a Club stand, not that we are guaranteed one anyway.

Looks like this might be the last year I'll be trying to get us into this event. Between lack of interest and no guarantee of a stand, I think it's time to stop applying.

One year, we did get some tickets for individual entries, but I think we were just lucky on that, as there was room for us. It's usually limited to cars older than the Coupe

If you wanted to take the Sud or Stag to show off, it would be worth you applying for individual entry for yourself, as they would fit the age criteria

Ok thanks T, shame we hardly get any support for the more northern events

I wrote a begging letter asking for individual entries if possible, even if it was just for one day and it's worked.

The organiser has kindly sent 3 individual entry tickets for Saturday 4th June for us

Sunday is full, but at least we can attend on the Saturday, which is better than nothing

Just to remind both Mike and Brian that we'll meet at Lymm services for Maccies between about 8 - 8.30am

I love the Tatton event, can't wait until Saturday

I'm working until midnight on the Friday night so not much sleep for me and hope I wake up in time

No problems with you meeting up with us or attending the event, except for you won't be able to have free entry to it or be able to park up with us I'm afraid.
You would have to park in the public car park and pay for entry.

Cars entering the show areas have to have tickets and each ticket has the vehicle registration number on and they are very strict regarding this.

So, even if one of the 3 tickets was available, you still wouldn't be able to have one due to the registration number being different to what's on the ticket, sorry.

It's still a great show though, so still worth going to it

If you can't meet us at Lymm, but still go to the show, we will be located in the individual entries area 'G'. This is usually on the right hand side when you come through the gates

That's a shame but don't worry. We are still coming along.

I'm happy to pay the entrance fee but was really hoping to park up with you guys. If you know of any way of persuading them, please let me know!

I'm new to all this but living in York, keen to get involved in any events up north you can recommend.

I can't persuade them sorry. Spaces are limited and it's a popular event and we're lucky we've even got tickets. I have to apply for a space months in advance and then for the tickets at least a month in advance.

They have a sale on this weekend and all tickets are half price

Looks like a good event too, but we will be at York races (horses not cars!) next weekend so not an option.

Sorry I couldn't make it this year, but after previous years when tickets were not available from the organisers at almost the last minute, I really did not want to book an overnight hotel.

I tried my best to stay in the shade, but still managed to get burnt on my face and arms. Weather was warm and sunny until around 5pm when a couple of spots of rain suddenly turned into a mad dash to get everything put away

Yes, I know what you mean Pete, it is a pain not knowing whether we'll get tickets until a couple of weeks beforehand, especially for someone like yourself having to book a hotel, etc.

Not sure if anyone took any photos. I didn't, as most other people usually do it instead.

Hi Theresa, I would just like to say it was nice to see you at Tatton again this year. I am sorry now that I did not add my name to your list of entries before you applied for tickets, but I was so doubtful that you would be successful that I did not think it was worth it. I should not have been so pessimistic! Never mind, I had my XF on the Jaguar stand, and I will join you with my coupe next year.
It was also great to meet Mike and Brian and to chat with them about their cars. You can always learn something new from meetings like that.

I too was doubtful as to whether I'd be successful in getting tickets, but always worth trying.

Maybe Jaguar will let us display on their stand?

Nice idea, Theresa, but I think all the clubs have the same problem - too many cars and not enough space!!
