You guys / girls that still have the Alarm M99T2 fitted to later coupes

Reading the fiat Lineaccessori M99 /SC1 T2 FA installation Instructions pagea 12 mentioned Anti Hijack feature red brown wire connected to brake light switch.

I droped the fusebox found the Alarm and the red/brown wire and connected it to the red/brown wire of the the brake switch and the Anti Hijack feature works. Driving off the doors auto close. read

Our Grande Punto has the anti hijack feature also which can be de/activated through the menu of the onboard computer.

As can a speed indicator audible warning; have ours set at 130 kph. Younger daughter once questioned what the beep was when she was driving in a 110 kph zone!!

Bockers it just works. When you drive the first time you press the brakes the doors lock.

I tried driving without pressing the brakes and the doors locked.

I ask meta support and with reluctance they sent me installation guide in pdf

Here is the Dropbox link with install instructions in pdf see the page general diagram

That really is terrific- good find

A genuine 'Easter egg' of hidden residual functionality!

[Personally though- my fears of being dragged from the car but balaclava'd thugs are fairly reduced, and I wouldn't want to put the locking system through twice as many cycles per journey.]

BUT- not to pour cold water on it- I can see this as an important functionality to many people depending on their circumstances...

I have this feature activated on our Grande Punto.

The only downside is that one has to unlock the vehicle first to allow additional passengers to enter when picking them up on the side of the road etc.

But it does keep the 'baddies' out!

I have a '94 16vt with the stock alarm but I do not know what type of alarm it is. Will this feature work on it? I know the OP said later coupes, but It'll be nice to have this feature available.

It is the Meta Alarm on UK later 20Vs (about 1997 on). Other alarms may have the same feature but you will need yo find the make and model.

Thank you, I will search for the module to see what type I have and maybe find that wire. Problem is I do not know where to start searching. Any hints?
