Hey there fellow coupe owners I purchased my first coupe the other day ( a 1997 20vt) and having bags of fun with the car , it is the least powerful of both my cars by a long shot but just the way it drives I have fell in love ! I have previously owned a Fiat bravo hgt which I regrettably sold, but I like to try out as many different marques of car as possible. A little about myself, My name is pete and I am from leicester, I'm no stranger to powerful cars as my other car is a 480bhp Nissan Pulsar Gti-r, but that always breaks haha. My coupe is standard bar an exhaust which was cat back but i got decatted the other day as the cat was on its way out but after reading about apparently this can mess up the stock turbo's on our car and lowe and behold i got the dreaded blue smoke out the back . I will either get my hands on a 2871r as that turbo was really responsive on my pulsar when I was running lower power or just knick the 3076 off the pulsar ;), not sure which direction to go just yet.
The registration on my coupe is R470HNH not sure if this has ever been apart of this forum? any history would be greatly appreciated. Right thats the end of my essay, sorry for rambling on but fogured it best to introduce myself and car at the earliesy possible point .

Hi Pete, welcome to the forum!

There is lots of tuning info in the tuning section, but generally with supporting modifications you can install those turbos on the Coupe. You may find that you are at the limits of the bottom end, which is around 350 bhp / 320 lb/ft as a very rough guide. There are Coupes on original bottom ends with higher power, but it seems to be more of a lottery.

Mitcar is Midlands Italian Car day. There isn't normally a very big turn out for Coupes, but it's normally pretty good. Not quite as much exotic stuff as some of the other Italian car shows though.

I'm from Leicester so I'll keep an eye out for you.

ahh cool what date is the meet? Be good to go to a car show as I've missed all the jap ones this year ! My coupe is a silver 20vt on an r reg so yeah give me a flash if you see me what part of leicester are you in?

Welcome mate - be great to see you there. There was one Coupe (I think) at MITCAR 2015 but looks like we're at least 5 this year so more welcome! Enjoy the car..........
