Hi all,

I've finally taken the decision to start the coop up for the first time in 5 years. After sitting in the garage, she has gradually gained a lot of dust and mouse droppings, but amazingly started first time (with a new battery).

I've booked her in for an MOT in the morning, but unfortunately I can't disable the alarm, meaning the hazards keep going (the horn has been disconnected from the alarm system). I've got a black fob, with two buttons at the top and a slidy thing at the side. However, I'm pretty sure the battery is goosed.

Any way to disable the hazards / reset the system so that I can slowly drive the 15 miles cool to the MOT place in the morning whilst freeing off the brakes etc?

Changing the battery in the fob should fix it.

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

Unfortunately I'm unlikely to find a replacement battery tonight though - bit of a random size (LRV08 12V)

There were issues with the system before too - it always took a huge amount of fiddling with the fob to disable the system; would be far easier to just turn it off!
