Currently running a 2004 Mini Cooper S as a daily runner, been reliable although today the battery called it a day and it needs a new expansion bottle. (Minor jobs)
MOT is 2nd week of September, should be ok. Last 2 MOTs straight through with no advisories.
Been thinking maybe a change is needed, 2 seats RWD ???
BMW Z4's have caught my eye, my sister use to have the 2.5 and she loved it.
It was my suggestion to go for Z4.
I'm torn between the 6 cylinder 2.5 & 3.0 or the more economical 2.0.
Since it is a daily'ish driver the 4 pot should be my choice but then the 6 cylinders really do appeal and generally more reliable than the 4 pot.
I would probably be looking at E85 models 2003-2006.
The Mini has been very reliable and fun to drive, kind of worried about selling a good car and buying a lemon.

Good choice, I would go for the 6 cylinder every time, beautifully smooth and sounds good too. I have the 2.5 in my 325ti Compact and it's great.

Corvette C6 (manual of course)

Well the z4 turned into a 1 series coupe.
Picking up at the weekend 57 120d coupe with all the 'm sport' stuff on it.
I got swayed by the £110 road tax and circa 50mpg.

First I looked at a 60 plate in Slough on cat c, truly poor repair job.
No pride in their at all.
So then a 1 series coupe popped up 12 miles from me, older car with another 15k on the clock but honest car and drove nice.
So I put down the deposit and going to part ex the mini.
Got offered silly part ex to start with but then the guys mum decided she wanted my mini and I got what I asked for it.

Nice. I like the 1 series. Hopefully it will make a positive change from the Mini, though I daresay you'll miss it sometimes!

The mini was fun but travelling further to work, the mini can be noisy and not the best distance cruiser.
Maybe I'm getting old, the BMW is almost as quick and more comfortable.
I will miss the mini.
