Well I have just gone and brought a Subaru Impreza P1. I brought it as the prices are increasing fast. I managed to get one from Scotland which was owned by an enthusiast. Receipts for thousands and all rot has been professionally cut out and replaced. It's done 80k. I drove it back on Monday and the weather was terrible so I was probably in the best car. I am loving the looks, colour and that classic Impreza engine note. It felt really nice and tight to drive I am really happy with it. It's all clean now and tucked away in the garage. 😉

Nice one!
I'm a bit of an old school rally fan but I had to Google the P1.
I read a PH road test and it ticks alot of the boxes I'd list when describing my ideal road car - noise, poise, grunt and a purposeful body kit.
Hope you've got some good B roads round your way?
Will you taking it to motorsport events?
I'm envious as hell wink

Love a P1. Friend of mine had one from new. Stunning car that went like the clappers. Had the optional 18 inch wheels that were massive for the time and prodrive exhaust sounded fantastic.

Nice car Stevo, I had a 2.5 STi Forester, really good fun, but not an "every day" car it was pretty modded, but boy! Did it shift and stick!

As per the other thread, I've had a few Imprezas but never a P1. The others have all understeered at the limit which is frustrating (though I expect that can be tuned out) and the quality of the ride in the back was terrible (missing the point, I know). The P1 does look to be a shrewd purchase - a bit like the Cosworth Fords.

Very clever purchase. Not only a nice car but a classic that changed perceptions. Super purchase Steve.

Thanks everyone. I kind of just thought that I need to get one now before they are out of reach. Looking forward to connecting the battery and hearing that Impreza noise again. Like a kid in a sweet shop!!

Yeah I really want to drive it but I am trying my best to resist. I might have to go and tinker with it at the weekend to calm my withdrawal symptoms!
