Also think about Rosberg not being able to challenge Hamilton even with DRS. That was "playing chess" at its best. Unfortunately Hamilton played the season without two rooks but still nearly made it. He is pretty good but Rosberg is not a poor champion either. To beat Hamilton is no mean feat and you need a bit of luck to be champion. Bring on March 2017.

Ironic really that Rosberg appears to be getting alot of criticism about 'being worthy' etc. and that LH lost the title rather than Nico winning it......... Ironic in that I'm old enough to recall his Dad Keke winning it when he only won a single race that entire season - but still took the crown and there were similar comments back then. Nothing wrong with what Lewis was doing IMO. Mercedes obviously just wanted their cars to win and stay on the track. Nice to see someone different win the title though.

If Lewis was driving so slow why didn't Rosberg overtake him? Risk of an accident, I'd assume. It must have been a horrible dilemma for him; attack Lewis and risk a collision which could result in retirement, or hold position and risk Vettel and/or Verstappen making a move. I think Lewis could have hit his 'see you later' switch if he'd needed to though.

He didn't overtake because it's relatively easy to keep someone behind you whilst lapping slower than the person behind you is capable of. I've often been in that situation at Knockhill where there are limited places to pass. Lewis was going fast in the overtaking bits and slow in the other bits.
I should add that it's the same reason that Vettel couldn't pass Rosberg

I enjoyed watching the race unfold and how Hamilton would approach it. The way F1 is, whoever has the most points at the end of the season is a worthy Champion. Same with footy and other sports decided over a season.
Hamilton could have enhanced his public image by being shall we say,"gracious" in defeat on the championship, but then people will argue that is not what "winners" do. Hamilton did all he could in the circumstances and stood his ground v the team, testing Rosberg to the limit. The fact Rosberg endured makes him all the worthier in my opinion? Concerned no free to air coverage next year though????
