For some reason, after 65,000 miles of running 400+ bhp, my outer CV joints are clunking on full lock....

I can easily get hold of aftermarket replacements, but I doubt the quality is as good as OE and I'm not sure I'd want to put a lot of power through a cheap Chinese jobbie

Does anyone know of OE (or better) quality aftermarket joints?

If not, has anyone got any low-mileage driveshafts they are willing to part with?

Is J&R CV Joints still around, they always sorted me out with Alfa CV joints in the past.

Spooky - just fitted a pair of J&R driveshafts to my Alfa GT - just wasn't sure whether the quality would be good enough for the added bhp of the Coupe

PS - J&R are definitely using far-Eastern components - when I went to pick up the GT driveshafts, they were unloading a huge container with a Chinese-sounding name on it.

If the Fiat CV joints are as good quality as their wishbones these days you'd be better trying a 3rd party.

I had a 147 1.9 16v Mjet and they were still good after 65,000 miles. The original ones lasted around 40k. Glad too see they are still around.
