Yep. Mated to a possible coupe related gear box with coupe related mounts and by the looks of thing mechanical fuel injection so no fancy pants electronics to worry about .........

If I had five grand I recon that would be a lovely conversion ...... I know it's not that pockie compared to the coupe turbo boys but it would sound nice

Good knows how much belts or tensioners or any other ancillaries would cost or even if they are still available for that matter

Can you lend us £5000

One of my favourite cars, love the fact a relatively boring looking saloon houses a Ferrari engine, and the seats are fantastic.

It would be sacrilege to break it and use the engine in anything else, even though it would be fun in a Coupe!

Exactly as andyps said.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

They don't come up very often

And that's a good price

It would fit under the bonnet. Unfortunately it would mean quite some space between bonnet and slam panel / firewall and unfortunately also you will have to split the car in half to make room for it between suspension struts / chassis legs.

Still: 'yes' to your question. smile

Actually it might fit, sacrilege of course but the Lancia has a front wheel centre measurement of 1462mm, Coupé 1491mm so........ chinny

smash

What you should do is buy it, decide it won't fit, and then give the Thema to me to get rid of for you.

I'll buy you some choccies!

The noise from under the bonnet would surprise just about everybody as it rolled down the road. The 8.32 has to be one of the best Q cars still on the road.

Had the pleasure of driving one in Norway in 2000. Certainly had a bit of grunt!

The interior finish with its wood panelling is superb.
The early cars had a speed activated rear spoiler, so the Italian police knew when they were travelling fast!
This was changed in later models to a switch on the dash to activate the spoiler.

At the time, my family car was a Croma ie auto, so to drive a similar car was certainly an experience.

There may be an alternative way to get a similar engine into a coupe, just seen this post
If it fits in a Fulvia which had a pretty tiny V4 engine it should go in a Coupe.

Looks like a win-win - doesn't need an 8.32 to be destroyed but an interesting Coupe. Who is going to build one?
