These should not be cheap cars... Totally agree, but as I've noted before, we on the forum tend to malign coupes that get advertised at a higher price. I read many classic cars mags and even bog standard mark 3/4 escorts go for better than coupe prices.

I guess it boils down to whatever someone is willing to pay for it, I just feel it may be awhile before its sold for that price, which is a shame

I viewed it 2 weeks ago in Chichester and the price was 9,990 then. A nice car all round in great condition but wasn't allowed to test drive unless I committed to buy.
Doris the 1998 Portofino Blue 20V and Zoe the 1999 Alfa Romeo 916 Spider Bog standard needn't be boring...

I was seriously considering buying it but put off by the no test drive thing- the cost wasn't excessive in my opinion. The story behind the car is the owner picked it up from a smart dealership where it had been traded in 5 or 6 years ago. Then stayed in a barn for several years as part of his personal collection. He was having a clear out and got some work done as described in the ad before putting it up for sale

Remember this from only a couple of weeks back? This is "bluff" selling......if no takers, hike the price up so people think it must be good. The "no test drive" is what sticks in the craw most

Crazy price - although he appears to be more a supercar dealer so I suppose he's not that bothered by an 'old Fiat'

Are there 2x posts discussing the same vehicle, both Sprint Blue, tan interior? As I understand it yes, Ballypete's original a fortnight ago, and Carlscott's on here Kinda repost but with price difference

It's a one off piece of history for what will very probably end up being a classic. I think whoever buys it will do very well in the long term, assuming they have dehumidified storage.
