Well on the face of it, that indeed looks very promising. Someone who knows their way round a Coop could do things with that. Interior looks really good. To answer your question djmobi, I don't know the car.

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

Would love to know what makes it a barn find?
Apart from the obvious of trying to make the advert sound better

I'm worried it will be completely rotten underneath. He says he has had a quick look but not poked around. You would think if you were selling a car like this that has been off the road for 3 years you would check it properly.

Might have to go and have a look but as it will need cambelt, new brakes, suspension, at least some welding, new tyres, wheel refurbishment plus whatever else comes up, I think nearly £3k is way too much

Can't have been in a barn that long for 167k on it?
Shirley the inference on a barn find is it got put away before it's time and forgotten about. A lot of cars on here are sorned for 2-3 years at a time, hardly makes them barn finds!

Just a marketing term these days

I have seen it, its very straight and a well lined up car but it has rust in the usual places so expect to cut and weld in bits. The engine sounds sweet and has good service history and just the fact its made it to 167k or whatever means a lot...the amount of millage also indicates the rust from road use. The interior is excellent.

As a slow burning home project it is good but as a car to give to a specialist it could cost a bit to get up and running quick.

It would be a shame to break it!

There is haggle room on the cost I imagine??
