Anyone have any idea where/how much etc it would cost to store a car for 6 months to a year. I'm in Surrey so localish would be good.

As usual the internet is awash with options but some personal experience/recommendation would be best.

Thanks

Unless it's something special, I think I'd be trying to find a friendly farmer or someone with a free lock-up. When I looked, I was quoted numbers around the £100 a month mark. Fortunately my landlord has some spare barn space on site for which we've come to an arrangement.

Local to you would be c.120 a month for proper car storage. Seen some places near Woldingham that are there or there abouts, dehumidified etc. Renting a garage would probably be similar maybe a bit more.

I've personal experience of farm in tonbridge where carcoon is 90 a month or 70 for uncovered in barn. Unless you have a car to swap over then it can be a bit of a faff getting there and back without car or leaving car etc. so as ^ local can be an important consideration

Yes, it's for my coupé. 13 years and finding it hard to part with! Local is not that important. Just need it out of my drive till November at which point I will sell it or restore as mortgage will be over!!! I just don't want to make that decision now but need it gone before the summer. I am not after de-humid etc as the car needs work anyway. It is not in a covered location now anyway.

I think I can make room in my garage for it (along with my 16vna and 20vna) - does it drive? as my garage is in Norfolk.

Check with your local council for garages to rent. Round my way they are about £65 a month.

That is a tremendous offer, thank you. Apologies for the late reply I'm still deciding on whether to just sell as is and move on frown

I'll PM you shortly.
