Just looking online at some nice fiat coupe pics (like you do on a Sunday morn) and noticed not all have the 'fiat' blue badge on the left quarter!! Had to double check mine as couldn't remember! ... No blue badge....I did have the rear quarter resprayed maybe it didn't get put back on? Anyone know if all coupes should have these, mines a R reg 20vt....also is the badging the same on all versions (apart from the obvious pillar engine size, turbo badge)? rolleyes

inky goodness!!

As far as I am aware, all variants had the same rear rhomboid badge. The Part Number is 46305472, which is no longer available through Fiat.

The same bonnet emblem was used on a variety of Fiat models including the Barchetta and early Punto.

Possum, loads of photos on line showing badgeless coupes, guessing these have been resprayed/removed, some have a red logo instead of a blue one, assumed these were the le versions!! Think I prefer it without,

I think it's a case of most people think it looks cleaner without the badge there. Plus most people don't even know what a fiat coupe is, so removing the badge adds to the intrigue lol.

LEs had the standard blue badge, as does mine. All coupes had the same badge fitted. If there are cars without a rear badge, then they have been removed.

Yep the rear looks better for not having the FIAT badge on the back of it, especially if the badge has deteriorated and gone a faded bluey/green colour.

Oh and if it is really stubborn I have heard dental floss can help get behind the badge and remove it once heated.

Plastic patina. Why wouldn't you want people to know it's a Fiat. Strange!!

I also think the rear end looks better debaged. Nothing to do with not wanting to bear the name. Its on the Steering wheel and centre caps so its not like I would be trying to hide anything! Proud to own Fiats. The back looks a lot cleaner without although I also hate the rear boot lock on the back and would get rid of that if I could. Only issue with mine when I removed the original was as it had been on there so long and Steel is relatively light - some of the lacquer lifted when I took it off and although not much - it was noticeable to me every time I looked at the back. I've since gone for a larger metal replacement with the Italian tricolore.

An idea I've been thinking about is using the round blue Fiat badge with the crescent of leaves ( Laurel ?) that was on '02 Fiat's.

If you got the small one from the steering wheel of a scrapped Panda/Punto/Stilo it would be the size of the Coupé's boot's key slot. It could be positioned on the left rear panel in the mirror image of the boot's key slot and would be another matching circle to go with the rear lights!

If it's made out of the same material as our steering wheel badge, it'll never fade...Bonus wink laugh rolleyes

Also, it's a lot harder to read tongue

Hey Skeandubh

Plastic patina. Why wouldn't you want people to know it's a Fiat. Strange!!

I am TOTALLY with you on that...

How long ago did I buy that badge? 2014..?

hey darmtb-

no offence meant here- but if you want that badge on a car- then buy a car with that badge on!
I 'personally' think the classic shape & details of the Coupe are to be preserved in every respect.

But maybe I'm a purist.

It's YOUR car obviously...

Tricky one this, I've tried to keep car as original as possible but actually prefer the rear without the badge, looks cleaner. Don't see much point fitting a non standard replica as might as well keep it debadged? it'd have to be an original old one I guess....might just leave it as got plenty else to fix first!!!

inky goodness!!

Fair enough

It does seem to be a big thing for people- the badge /no badge thing

And I hope not to offend anyone with my comments above- I just always aspired to own THIS car- just the way it was designed.

Well, 'nearly' anyway...!
