Well that's me just back from hospital, spent the weekend there. Not feeling too good all Saturday & ach I'll be ok I'm telling the family. My daughter who is a nurse had other ideas when she saw me.In hospital & right enough the pain is getting bad, really bad, turns out I've a blood clot in the lung... Not good, can't believe how things could've been if left. So back home now medication lifestyle changes etc. Things did take a funny turn when I blurted out that I might not see the Coop again! the family all looked at each other & said you & your beloved Coop...Don't worry we would sort things out..

First of all, thankyou all that have taken the time to respond to this. Part selfish/venting off steam & part sharing my view to forum members on here that have a sad story to tell has prompted me to discuss this, whatever happens, you have to grab life by the short & curlies while you can. And in the background our love for the Coop. Aye the wife & I are very proud of our Daughter, for various reasons, not least her help with our son who turned 38. He is a very special young man & requires looking after round the clock. We have been in the throws for some years now in the process securing him his own house & a team around him. It's bitter sweet that we were informed that a house will be built locally & things are actually going ahead. I've always tried to look at the brighter side of life & in many ways I'm selfish on how I handle/cope with bad news. I could prattle on but through it all in a Hospital bed pumped up with various drugs, monitored with all sorts of wires, the family all around the bed etc, kinda gives you a boot up the arse & to tell you the truth I was crapping myself at this time. I'm still here to tell the tale so onwards & upwards. Just remember, keep ticking off that bucket list of yours, life is just too short. Thanks for listening Jim.....

Glad you're ok Jim. Sounds like medication and a few lifestyle changes will ensure you stick around for a long time to come and that includes driving the coupe again!
Take care and chin up!

Thanks again everyone. You know what! It's the simple things/pleasures in life that we all take for granted eh? Just been out to our fishman van & purchased well obviously fish but among the fishy delights I've indulged myself a pair of kippers The smell will linger I know, Mrs Jimboy will not be happy with the cooking smell, ach that's another thing I'll have to deal with..
