I'm not sure that the Gtec chip is for non turbos.

You are not to far from castle coombe so a visit to Fc performance would extract the best potential in a safe way.

Send "Flea" a message and he will talk you through the process I imagine.

As Magooagain says Flea, who runs FC Performance, offers chips or live mapping sessions, whether yours is a 20V N/A or 20V N/A VIS

+1 for a live remap with FC performance, Leighton is very experienced with getting the best from these engines safely, with your N/A you'll see better fuel economy and increased power in all the right places.

I've been remapped by Flea. I've got a VIS.

As an NA/VIS you won't get a big hike like the turbo's (e.g. 20 - 40bhp) more like 10 - 15bhp at best.

My remap increased BHP by 9% and much improved economy (high 30's mpg easily). Torque a little better and smoother delivery. My car is a daily driver and all rounder, including occasional track day.

I think it was worth it overall.

I would echo that I have a 20v NA chip from flea and have noticed some improvement in engine response and fuel economy. I don't know if it is just me but the engine appears to run slightly hotter if anything but well worth the money

Yep, Flea is the man, an FC performance 20V N/A chip is money well spent, a Cybox and a K&N Panel Filter, with all the correct induction pipework in place makes for a cracking N/A.

We've been running one for about 10 years, we get about 40-50 miles more per tank on a long run, throttle response is better, as is the lower down torque, good all round chip.

I'm thinking of going the Plug and Play Chip route from FCPerformance. Has anyone else done this?

Don’t even think about not getting a Flea chip for an N/A as it’s a no-brainer. Transforms the engine with free spit backs on over run. Best performance upgrade ever. My 16-er had a K&N cone too. Miss it lots.
