So Vettel’s luck seems to have deserted him,Lewis Must be favourite for the race & should be his unless of course we see another 1st corner incident. Hope Alonso can finish for a change.

We were all robed of a fantastic race with some fantastic drivers by one drivers mistake last time out.

here is to hoping for a classic, I'll probably not catch it live so you reminded me to record it.

Well done to Verstappen and Red Bull.
Gt drive by Vettel aside from a bit of madness after the line!
Perhaps he did not want his car to go to the scrutineers????

I still don't understand how a Merc engine couldn't keep up with a Renault engine?
Something a bit weird there!

Nothing to do with the Merc engine - the Merc chassis seems to be very sensitive to track temperature and the way it uses its tyres in particular. A powerful engine can only give you so much - the chassis is critical - as demonstrated by the impressive placing of Vandoorne in the Honda-powered McLaren.

Vandoorne did a great job and managed to stay out of trouble.
He was better than Alonso all weekend apart from when Alonso gave Magnussen a little wake up call. laugh

I think Alonso and Van Doorne will be pretty chuffed at the prospect of Renault power next year; in comparison with Honda, anyway...

Interesting race, including an uncharacteristically mature acceptance by Hamilton of settling for second.

Awesome drive by Verstappen - one wonders what a little less bad luck might have brought him over the season.

Vettel is sadly proving to be a bit of a turd in the bathwater; his little passive-aggressive comments about other drivers when he is at least equally to blame for incidents is becoming tired and tiresome.
