I've heard this bit of music quite a few times before. I've heard it for instance on TV programmes as background music. But I think it's a 90s/early 2000s song.

It's got a violin playing (all the way through I think). It goes (don't laugh laugh )...

(slowly) daaaa daaaa daaaa daaaa
(then faster) da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da
(slowly) daaaa daaaa daaaa daaaa
(then faster) da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da
(repeat)

I don't know if its got vocals or if its just an instrumental track.

You know how Bittersweet Symphony has that unforgettable, distinct violin tune? It's kind of like that, in terms of style. It's got an almost movie score type feel. Like it wouldn't be out of place on the soundtrack of some memorable, stylish film.

I looked up Bjork, Moby, movie soundtracks like The Beach, but I couldn't see anything. Unless I just missed it and it is from them or related artists/movies etc?

Any ideas. confused

This thread is difficult without a soundtrack! I was about to say Bittersweet Symphony before I finished reading!

If you can identify the notes, you might find the answer by googling "find a tune" where there are several sites offering you ways to trace a song smile

That's "Play Dead" by Bjork

Play Dead

I remember Vauxhall used it in an advert some years back

You do yourself an injustice - I find it exceptional that you could recognise a piece of music from a "da-da-da" string of text

Have another - bow

I bet you were good at "Name That Tune" with Lionel Blair back in the 80's Marco?

Fair play, that wasn't even at a 1!
