Hi all,
I am looking to lower the ride height of my NA 16V but have a question that I hope this forum can answer.
The spring of choice seems to be Eibach but there is are 2 types available:
E3014-240 is listed as fitting FA175 1.8, 2.0/16V and 2.0/20V turbo.
E3014-140 is listed as fitting FA175 2.0/16V turbo.

There is a huge (£100) diference in price so what I need to know essentially is will the 16V turbo springs fit the 16V NA?
As usual, any help or advice is appreciated.
Michael.

The answer is yes, the 16vt spring will fit on a 16v n/a, but the difference is the spring tension/rebound because of the different weights, which in itself is confusing as a 16v model is different to the 20v variant yet on their website it lists the -240 as 16v and 20vt.

Hmm. So it would appear that I should opt for the 140 version to stay will similar spring rates.

It doesn't make sense though as FA175 1.8, 2.0/16V model engine+ancillaries are lighter then the 20VT yet it says it's the same spring.

The listings do not make a lot of sense. The story I heard was that the 16vt part was a different design, offered as a factory/dealer upgrade at the time. The other spring was the Eibach aftermarket design. It would fit all models.
