Agreed it was an awesome piece of engineering. Seeing the 2 boosters land safely was amazing! It was like CGI from a new Thunderbirds film Apparently the centre stage was 'guided' down close to the pontoon but entered the sea at approx. 300mph as you said. Don't think they'll be re-using that one!

Awesome-just awesome. Media branding centre stage problems as a failure, but its never a failure when stretching the current known limits - rather a learning process towards eventually getting it right every time.
Doris the 1998 Portofino Blue 20V and Zoe the 1999 Alfa Romeo 916 Spider Bog standard needn't be boring...

Wasn't that a great ad for Lotus - how many car companies (excluding Rover ) can claim their technology has been launched into space? Stig was the ideal test pilot as he would not waste any hot air.
