I have just been advised by Phil Ward that we will now be relocated to the banking at the end of the Start & Finish Straight.

Yes please John, they are self supporting with the aid of a coupe wheel.
In any case we are on the flatter part of the banking next to the start and finish straight.

I'm coming with the father and father in law, already put my name down but just want to doubly check as it's my first time...
So you just arrive at this entrance, pay on the gate and someone will direct you where to go simply by recognising your make of car. Or do I literally have to say "I'm in a Fiat Coupe and I have a space reserved with all the other Fiat Coupe's, where do I go please?"
Looking forward to it anyway, weather looks to be good (ish).

I'll be there but not with a coupé... Been frantically trying to find a tool to get the locking wheel nuts off today but no luck. So I've ordered a tool. Don't fancy chancing it with no way to get the wheel off if, in the unlikely event of a puncture. I just know my luck though. So we'll be coming topless. If you see a white TT roadster with some pink headed bloke driving it could be me... give us a toot

I'll be along too with my son Tim, I'll be in the blue 124 Spider ('17 reg) probably parked next to my son's red Punto Evo in the "ordinary Fiat" section. I was going to bring the Pearl Plus but not used the Spider much this year...

I was a bit miffed not to have been taking the Coupé today. But when I saw where everyone was parked I was glad I hadn't Also glad that I didn't take in our chairs and stuff. None of the coupés were parked together so no real focal point or chance for everyone to meet. The event also seemed far too over sold and there were far too many modern / brand new Lambo's and Ferrari's, many keen to let everyone hear their motors bouncing off the limiter. For me the beauty of this event has always the balance between classic and modern cars, today there was little balance. Modern Exotica had pride of place, with most classics stuck out the back. I won't be gong again

Agree - disappointed not to be parked with the other Coupes. Despite getting there at 9:30 I was down towards the end.
Everything seemed to be rather mixed up our allocated area - the event is still rather chaotic generally.
Managed to speak to a couple of members though.

I used to really like Brooklands, it along with Stanford hall were two of my favourite meets each year. We were usually granted a reasonable, if not great, spot and thus it used to be one of the best attended meets by Fiat coupé owners, often pulling close to 40 Coupés. When the weather forecast was poor we still turned out and one year even managed to get space in the now Ferrari only parking area. In recent years I have much preferred the Brands Hatch event, just a shame that has limited spaces Today was not all wasted though - on the way out we spotted a Porsche dealership and Trish got to have her first look at a Boxter, though sadly they didn't have a 718.

What is going on with this event? Did not go this year and it sounds like the issues experienced last year have got even worse; I think the organiser needs to think about what AutoItalia at Brooklands has now become for the many..... an expensive overcrowded car park. The treatment of FCCUK has appeared to be worse since he sold his Coupe :(, maybe that's just a coincidence. The great social event for FCCUK that it once was has lost it's way. I agree time for a different venue. AROC Alfa Day last year at Hever Castle was how it should be done.

To be honest I said the other day when I heard the coupes would be on the banked part of the old track somewhere, I knew you would be out of the way and mixed with all the other cars as thats always been like an overflow if you like. Years ago used to have a great spot with upto 50 Coupes all together. Each year has got worse for the Coupes unfortunately.
I went with my Dad and left his beautiful Plus at home as we expected this so came in the Audi and walked in equals no disappointment!
So all that aside, I say it was much better than last year when the place was a messy building site with rubbish weather. Today was very busy yes but the weather made if you ask me. Also I think they got their act together a little more on the food side of things.
I enjoyed it.
P.S you want track action and organisation I recommend Festival Italia at Brands in August. Went last year and it was a stand out day for me and again the weather was perfect!

Guys it was good to meet a few of you but yeah it wasn't quite what I though it would be. The drive there and the sun were the best things unfortunately.
The plot we had was not great, to out of the way and how many modern Ferrari/Lambos do you need to see all at once??
Anyway not a bad day but doubt id go again. Pleased to blow the cobwebs out of my Coupe though, no traffic on M4 back to Bristol meant I seriously gave it some!
