That's a shock? According to that site there was only ever 88 LE's on the road in the UK whereas there were 856 16v turbo

That's a shock? According to that site there was only ever 88 LE's on the road in the UK whereas there were 856 16v turbo A point well made Lee!

The database covers all vehicles that have a valid tax disc or a Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN). It doesn't cover cars that were off the road prior to the introduction of SORN, or cars that have never been registered on the road since manufacture. So a car like that unregistered, yellow 16v turbo with only 825 miles, that kept popping up for sale, probably wouldn't be on the list (if it's still unregistered, of course).

If you click on the individual model it shows sorn separate. There's actually more sorn than on the road for every single model bar the plus! Lee

Those figures make interesting reading especially as there are more coupes sorn than on the road!!
Does that mean people are stashing coupes for ‘later’ or is it that people will eventually see prices rise and then be able to justify spending cash getting them running?
Glad to see people are sorning rather than breaking/scrapping?

Some LEs recorded as 20VTs by dvla. My LE was originally registered as 20VT. Something that I need to make clear to insurance companies, as they usually just use the reg to get make/model etc.

You can email FCA UK and ask them to provide a letter to present to DVLA to correct errors like that. You have to pay a small fee, but if it was a mistake at first registration by the (Fiat UK) dealer, they may do it for free. My 20vt Plus was registered as a "20v" with incorrect chassis number, vehicle type (saloon) and missing engine number...

You might find a lot of those cars Sorn are those which are slowly being stripped for parts and the owner has Sorn it prior to the car being scrapped. Some maybe garage queens and only taxed for 6months.

I've just sorted this too with Daves help - although the email for the guy sorting them has changed now so drop me a message if you want his contact. Mine was all data missing from the import from germany, think the payment was about £36. Sent off to the DVLA and they sent back the logbook corrected. Thanks Lee
