Greetings, I finaly found one driving coupe in good condition in my country. It was 1.8 but engine got replaced by current owner because 1.8 was dead(no regular servicing and had poorly installed LPG system). Current engine is 2.0 16v with just around 110k miles. Current owner is a trusted person. He says he didn't drive it after the swap(he started working in some sort of mountain rescue service or whatever it is called on english so he drives a vehicle provided, serviced and refueled by goverment) and he says car was sitting almost 1 year, but was turned on regulary. Now his mother is driving it sometimes,in this case she went on vacation with coupe so that I could check it out. When we met, I was able to confirm that it was in good conditon. It has some rust on it but it is nothing mayor with no structural damage, mostly wheel arches and right side of the trunk. What does worry me is that it had injector light lit on the dashboard and it does not want to go away. It idles pretty rough, but the engine speed is steady at around 800rpm. It drives great though, throttle response is awesome and there are no hiccups or uneven power distribution. I told the seller(he doesn't know alot about cars,so he called his servicer and the servicer said that the ECU probably wasn't reset after the swap...) it could be some sensor like MAF or Lamda, but that it could also be something major so we made a deal that when his mother comes home in 5 days(she lives 400km away from me),to take the car to diagnostics and report back with photos what it shows. What are your expiriences with this problem? I couldn't find anything specific on google. Thanks for your help in advance. P.S Forgot to say that the car also has brand new exhaust(changed because previous owner had some fart can with no catalyst),so my first guess is that Lambda is not connected.

Hi Dorian - got some injector light issues myself and as Morrison says the general opinion is to get the codes read before starting to buy parts as it could save a lot of time etc. By the way just come back from 2 weeks in Croatia - a week on Havr island then a week in Split. Really enjoyed it - nice people, good value and great weather. Sea urchins not too friendly though and stood on one when snorkelling so now have a foot infection Don't run this sort of risk in Warrington
